Dr. Zhen Hu, Professor

Dr. Zhen Hu, (OMD, Dipl.Ac. & Dipl.C.H. (NCCAOM), L.Ac.)

Dr. Hu earned her Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Guangxi College of TCM in China and earned her Master's Degree from TCM University of Shanghai in China. While in Shanghai, Dr. Hu served as a teacher and clinic supervisor for the university. Subsequently, she worked for 15 years at the People's Hospital of GuangXi with specialty in Chinese Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Acupuncture, and Dermatology. Upon her arrival to the United States, she worked as an herbal chemist for Chemolee Lab in Texas. Beginning in 2000, she has operated her own herbal pharmacy and acupuncture private practice in Chandler, AZ. In addition to her business, Dr. Hu became a professor and Clinic dean(2006~2008) at PIHMA. In 2004, and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2006 and 2010. She also serves as a member of Herbology and Translation Committee of National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM) since 2006. She is a Grand Judge for ISEF Bio medicine and Health Science since 2006.

A Diplomate of Chinese Herbology is a practitioner who is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®). It is a considerable professional achievement to earn the designation Diplomate of Chinese Herbology (NCCAOM). NCCAOM certification indicates to employers, patients, and peers that one has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of Chinese herbology as defined by the acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) profession.
